Viva pinata:pocket paradise

Publisher: THQ Developer: Rare Multiplayer: No Release: 5th September

Some might not have not known it was, coming some might have but it has come. Viva pinata for the DS!. Viva pinata:pocket paradise is pretty bold and pretty bonkers. Simply put, the game sees you take control of a garden which is just a rocky path of wasteland. Once you've got a shovel, pulled up the weeds and planted some grass you'll atracct your first pinata-a couple of worm like critters. Satisfy them by planting seeds and they'll become residents. Build them a house, keep them well fed and generally follow their every whim and they'll get in the mood for 'romance' and retreat to their home to do their thing, giving you a new pinata for your garden. As time goes by, other pinata will come. Different creatures are lured into your ganden by different plants, so you'll need to keep things clean and healthy by buying and nurturing various different seeds from costalots, the local shop. The more pinata you attract, the bigger your plot gets. Other than the central goal of breeding pinata, there are a number of side projects to keep you busy too. From time to time, sour pinata will wander onto your garden and mess things up. You'll need to shoo them away with your shovel or learn how to 'turn' them into regular pinata and put them to work in your garden. You'll be dressing your pinata's up in all manner of mad outfits and sending the best dressed off to 'parties' too. Fear not though, they'll return to you in one piece. You'll also be trying to 'evolve' your residents, pokemon style, into new forms, which takes plenty of trial and error. For example, you can get Tafflies to transform into redhotts by setting fire to them and then puting out the flames with your watering can. You can also do various of other things but there are to many to put down here. this review was taken from official Nintendo magazine and slightly changed but if you want to read the full review please buy official Nintendo magazine on sale 29th August.
